50th Winter Wonderland Soiree

One of life’s greatest gifts, is the chance to get older. And what better way to recognize this than celebrating in a big way with all of your family and closest friends. We were honored to be a part of Myra Harbour’s 50th birthday celebration. You may know her from the beautiful florals and stationary she creates as owner of Celebrate Flowers and Invitations. The vision she had was executed beautifully.

The space we were working with wasn’t just your backyard party, a large pool taking up a majority of the space needed to be covered. With the assistance of Atlas Pools, we gained square footage to accommodate a 75 person event. Starting three days before the party, Atlas Pools came in to cover the pool. After that took place, we came in with white carpet to cover the plywood. With custom cuts of carpet, no one would even know there was a pool below them. From there we brought in a large canopy and adorned it with a tent liner and draped side wall.

50th Birthday, Party, White
Once the space was ready, we brought in gorgeous clear chandeliers to light up the space. A light projector placed falling snowflakes onto the draping. With Myra’s creative eye, she had beautiful arrangements put together to fill the space. Gorgeous crystal vases were placed on tables to add a bit more sparkle. Custom sequin linens draped the tables. Ornate cocktail tables and bistro tables were placed around the white dance floor for guests to mingle at.

50th Birthday Party, WinterAs guests began to arrive that chilly December evening, they came up to a true winter wonderland. Snow was on the ground and frosted trees lined up the walkway. A harpist greeted the guests as they entered the lovely home. Friends mingled and celebrated while enjoying bites from a  beautiful charceuterie table, a large seafood station, carving station with a mashed potato bar with all the topping you can imagine, a pasta station.

As the night cooled down, the guests warmed up with cocktails, wine and beer. Music played all night which got people on the dance floor and having a splendid time. For anyone that was losing steam, there was a cappuccino bar that served all the caffeine you would need. Guests enjoyed time in the photo booth, striking poses, and toasting to the birthday gal. Towards the end of the night, party goers were treated to a late night taco station to reenergize and keep the night going!
